For VolunteersVolunteering at the West End House is a great way to give back to the community and make a real difference in the life of a child or teen. We offer several ways to get involved and we have a variety of volunteer opportunities to meet your schedule, time constraints and interests. At the West End House, volunteers are simply invaluable to the success of our organization. Volunteers are not only here to lend their services, but their presence in our children’s lives is profound. Volunteers can come in for as little as one hour per week or every day. The West End House is extremely careful in selecting its volunteers to work inside our Club’s walls. All volunteers must undergo a thorough screening process that includes:
Volunteer orientations are held Wednesday evenings at 6 pm. Please note: there will be no orientation on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 due to school vacation week. To learn more about the volunteer process, please contact Ashley Goliti at 617-787-4044, ext. 30 or by email.
Please note: the West End House has recently reevaluated our volunteer program to better address the needs of our young people and organizational goals. We ask that volunteers commit to a year of service, for at least an hour a week. Additionally, for students pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree, only those receiving class credit for service are accepted at this time. |
